As a kid it was always fun to attend Biblesta and see Jonah hanging half out of the whales mouth. This year I’ve been asked to set up a tent to sign books, as well as to be on stage twice. About 10:40am I’ll be interviewed by Lloyd Houk of 3 Rusty Nails (right before they sing) and talk about my book. Then at 7:00pm, Gary Larson with Kansas FCA asked if I would open up Biblesta After Dark by giving a 10 minute message to the youth.
If you’ve never been to Biblesta, come check it out. The Biblesta Parade consists of floats portraying scriptures from the Bible, walking entries, equestrian units and marching bands playing Christian and patriotic music. Before and after the parade, enjoy gospel music in the city square. A variety of activities including a petting zoo, train rides and inflatables are available to entertain the children. During the evening hours, teenagers and young adults can enjoy the Biblesta After Dark Youth Rally. Food vendors are available throughout the day, and everyone is welcome to stay for the free bean feed at 5:00 p.m. in the city square.
